PSG spent a fortune this summer in transfer fees, but despite an overhaul of their roster, things haven’t gone as planned in the French capital so far. Reports have recently emerged that midfielder Ginni Wijnaldum may be looking to move away from the club to return to the Premier League, despite joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer. And it seems he’s not the only one eager to leave.
According to El Nacional, star defender Achraf Hakimi is keen to return to Real Madrid despite his move to Paris via Inter Milan for $66 million over the summer.

One of the notable additions to PSG’s roster during this transfer window was Hakimi, joining fellow Wijnaldum newcomers Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos and Nuno Mendes. Despite the influx of high-level talent, things have not affected the team, and it now looks as if some players want out.
Hakimi rose to the ranks of Real Madrid, before loaning him to Borussia Dortmund in 2018. Los Blancos then sold the right-back to Inter Milan for $59.4 million. He helped the Italian team win Serie A in 2020-21, before once again leaving for a new challenge, this time in Paris.
Despite just arriving, Hakimi appears eager to return to Madrid and get a chance in the first team, something he was never given during his previous spell at the club. While it is unlikely that Paris would be willing to allow their star defender to leave so quickly after his arrival, it is worth keeping an eye on the Spanish side’s interest ahead of the January transfer window.
