Real Madrid boss fires Ralph Rangnick a Cristiano Ronaldo warning

Rangnick is set to take over

Ralf Rangnick is set to take over at Old Trafford in the coming days, succeeding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was sacked last Sunday after the 4-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road.

He will not be in training to face Chelsea on Sunday, but could take charge of his first game when Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to face the Red Devils on Thursday night.

Described as the ‘Godfather of Backpressing’, Rangnick’s ideas have influenced current Premier League pressure coaches Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp, suggesting that the main pillars of his philosophy will remain the same: plenty of running, counterpressing and fast transitional play.

But will you succeed?

Ancelotti warns Cristiano Ronaldo

Now, Real Madrid coach Ralph Rangnick has delivered a warning about one of his star players, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking exclusively to Correire Della Sport, Ancelotti explained what can and can’t be done with the Portuguese superstar, and for the highly stressed Rangnick system, that could be a problem.

The eggs The coach said:

If I had Modric and Kroos, I couldn’t expect to do so much pressure. I would be stupid if I didn’t count on a counterattack with a striker like Vinicius, who has a motor under his feet.

I’ll give you one last example: If I have Ronaldo in front of me, I study how to deliver the ball to him a lot, and I don’t ask him to tire himself out with tracking. Same thing with Ibra.

There are two types of players: those who make a difference and those who have to run. Conte must have said so, and if not, that’s fine too. I have not cultivated an ideology like Guardiolismo and Sarrismo. My creed is the identity of the team.

Will Rangnick be able to create a system that allows Ronaldo to remain as a player who makes a difference, rather than a player who has to run?
