Rumors of a transfer deal for Manchester City player Riyad Mahrez before the January window were described as “fake”.

Mahrez, who contracted with Manchester City until 2023, fell due to Pep Guardiola’s decision at the Etihad Stadium. Out of 11 Premier League matches, Mahrez has started only two. In all, the Algerian player played 15 competitive matches with City, scoring eight goals and providing two assists.
