Real Madrid outcast Dani Ceballos is said to have emerged as a transfer target for Italian champions Inter Milan in the summer transfer window of 2022.
According to a report from Transfer Market websiteInter Milan recorded an interest in securing the contract with Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos in the summer of next year.
Ceballos came from the youth ranks at Spanish club Real Betis, where he grew to become a regular first-team player before being pushed away by Real Madrid in 2017. However, the 25-year-old was unable to secure a regular spot in the squad. Santiago Bernabeu, and after two seasons on the sidelines, left the club on loan to Arsenal.
Ceballos spent successive campaigns with Arsenal on loan, and while he wasn’t quite as special, the Spain international was able to get some regular playing times at the Emirates. He made 77 appearances for Arsenal during his two-year tenure, while playing only 56 games for Real Madrid so far.
On his return to the Bernabeu in the summer, Ceballos has been linked with a distant exit. But the move did not materialize and he ended up staying despite not having played a single match after this season as he was suffering from an ankle injury. However, his future at the club is far from certain, as Luka Modric, Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde await him.
There was no shortage of 25-year-old suitors, with Rome is very interested, while there were reports of Juventus wants to sign him too. Now another Serie A giant, in the form of Inter Milan, has entered the race to sign the outcast Real Madrid.
Inter Milan are staring at the prospect of losing Marcelo Brozovic either in January or at the end of the season, with the Croatia international’s contract expiring. He was done Associated with some of the best clubs across EuropeAnd his possible departure will leave a huge gaping hole in the middle of the field.
Add to that, Christian Eriksen is also ready to leave the club, Stefano Sensi and Matias Vecino have both struggled with injuries, and Arturo Vidal is no younger. So, bringing in a new midfielder makes sense for Nerazzurri. Given their financial plight, they need to consider cost-effective options, and with Ceballos’ contract running out in 2023, it will be available at a bargain price in the summer of 2022.
It remains to be seen if the Italian champions act on his interest in the Real Madrid star or are beaten by another team.
