Man Utd and PSG issues prove Real Madrid made right transfer calls in summer

One of the biggest debates after the summer transfer window was the system vs the super teams.

In a transfer period that saw Lionel Messi move to Paris Saint-Germain to play with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar as well as the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United, can clubs that rely on moments of magic from the stars compete with clubs that have a clear identity?

And can they compete without delaying an inch of their lives in training like Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea?

We’ll have to wait until the end of the season to find out, but the one thing that has yet to be revealed is Real Madrid’s summer activity.

If you think back to the summer, many people question the wisdom of letting club icon Sergio Ramos and France’s World Cup winner Raphael Varane leave the Bernabeu.

And you can hardly blame them. After all, this duo in the center of defense proved to be the bedrock of a team that won four of five Champions League titles, as well as two La Liga victories and two Copa del Rey titles.

Sergio Ramos has not yet appeared with Paris Saint-Germain

But just three months after his decision, club president Florentino Perez appears to have been acquitted.

With Barcelona in disarray, and a sloppy start from defending champions Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid are the favorites for La Liga in the eyes of many.

Los Blancos currently find themselves in second place in La Liga, one point behind leaders Real Sociedad, but with a game in hand.

Aside from slipping against Sherif Tiraspol, Real Madrid looked strong in the Champions League, including their away win over Italian champions Inter.

Former Real Madrid legend Ramos has yet to make an appearance with Paris Saint-Germain, and it has been widely reported that the French club is open to terminating his contract due to ongoing injury problems.

Varane, while not comparable to the situation Ramos found himself in in France, has suffered from a difficult start at Manchester United.

He’s currently on the treatment table at Old Trafford, which means the Red Devils can’t make the most of their new signature, at least not right away.

Meanwhile in Madrid, free agent Alaba, who started the season with a left-back, is building a strong partnership in the center of defense with Eder Militao, and even scored the opening goal in Barcelona’s recent defeat in El Clasico.

Protesting against Sergio Ramos’ treatment and Real Madrid’s unwillingness to give him a new contract feels like a long time ago now.

Not only that, but due to recent player sales and the exclusion of top players such as Ramos and Varane from the records, as well as Ronaldo before them, Real Madrid’s prudent financial management have left them in a very strong position regarding the financial fair in La Liga. Playing rules.

La Liga allows teams to spend money based on the club’s income and losses.

As reported by the Guardian, Real Madrid’s spending limit is now eight times higher than Barcelona’s.

Real Madrid’s summer moves have left them in a strong position in more ways than one, and they remain in pole position to add Mbappe in the summer if he decides to leave PSG.
