Manchester United drew 2-2 with Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
United started at 5-3-2, but Atalanta took the lead through Ilicic in just the 10th minute. It was an attempt to tame the striker and David de Gea should have done a better job. United found the equalizer in the first half through Cristiano Ronaldo.
It was a great goal from United with Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes and Ronaldo.
United started the second half well, however, and Zapata took advantage of Eric Bailey and Harry Maguire’s weak position awareness to give Atalanta the lead. From that moment on, United sought a comeback for him, but they seemed devoid of quality in the final third.
That was until Ronaldo provided another moment of brilliance in injury time to save a point in Italy.
He continues to save United and the superiority does not do him justice.
